MIAMI--(lawntennismag.com) Recently engaged American Andy Roddick Thursday snapped an 11 match losing streak to world number one Roger Federer
of Switzerland 7-6(7-4), 4-6, 6-3 in the Sony Ericsson Open quarterfinals. Roddick turned in an outstanding performance compared to a
somewhat shaky game from Federer.
"I figure I was due," Roddick said. "He hadn't missed a ball in a crucial moment for about six years against me. I figured the law of
statistics had to come my way eventually."

$3,770,000 | Hard court Day 10 Friday | Semifinals
Men's Singles: Semifinals
Tomas Berdych (CZE) [10] vs. Rafael Nadal (ESP) [2] Berdych and Nadal are tied 3-3 head to head, but Berdych of the Czech Republic has won all three meetings on hardocurts, due in large part
to his monster serve. On paper world number two Nadal of Spain should win due to a much higher ranking and more consistent game, but I
think if Berdych can keep a high first serve percentage, he could reach the Miami final.
Winner: Berdych
Men's Singles: Semifinals
Andy Roddick (USA) [6] vs. Nikolay Davydenko (RUS) [4] Roddick's big breakthrough came Thursday as he defeated world number one Roger Federer. He will attempt to build on his quarterfinal
success with a title in Miami. Against Davydenko of Russia, Roddick leads head to head 5-0 and should move to 6-0 given his recent strong
form.
Winner: Roddick
