Roger Federer Downs Rafael Nadal In ATP Tour Final

LONDON--At the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals at London, England Sunday, the world number two Roger Federer of Switzerland upset the world number one Rafael Nadal of Spain 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 in the championship final.
“I was able to stay offensive. Rallies were never that long,” the 29 year old Federer said. “That kind of maybe frustrated him.”

At Wimbledon, the Swiss took the singles title in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009.
Britain, the fourth seeded Robin Soderling of Sweden as well as the third seeded Novak Djokovic of Serbia all in straight sets.
Federer, who is arguably the greatest tennis player ever, is however 8-14 lifetime versus the 24 year Nadal.
Federer took his last grand slam win in January at the Australian Open for a career total of 16 grand slam singles titles.
At Wimbledon, the Swiss took the singles title in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009.
This summer Nadal claimed his second Wimbledon singles title after first winning on the grass in 2008.
