Gauff turned pro in 2018 and posted her best grand slam result last year in her runner up finish at the Roland Garros.

Gauff, a tennis prodigy, was ranked number one as a junior tennis player.

She first made headlines as a 15 year old professional tennis player after defeating the five time champion and American Venus Williams at Wimbledon in 2019.

An aggressive baseliner, Gauff possesses a powerful backhand.

However her forehand has been often criticized as it can be error prone.

It has been suggested that Gauff take a few months off from the professional tennis tour to rebuild her forehand.
