In June 0f 2021 as an 18 year old wildcard entry, Raducanu reached the fourth round at Wimbledon in her home country.
Then two months later in New York, Raducanu won three qualifying matches and seven main draw matches all without dropping a set to win the US Open.
However Raducanu has yet to reach another final round match since the 2021 US Open.
The Brit struggled with injuries during the next two years before deciding to ungo surgery on her ankle and both of her wrists in the summer of 2023.
As a result of her surgeries and absence from the professional tour, Raducanu's singles ranking dropped below number 100.
In grand slam action this year, Raducanu lost in the second round of the Australian Open to Yafan Wang of China 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 before skipping Roland Garros.
Raducanu also skipped the Summer Olympics at Paris before competing at Wimbledon in London in July.
In the fourth round at Wimbledon, Raducanu fell to Lulu Sun of New Zealand 6-2, 5-7, 6-2.
Then in August at the US Open, Raducanu was overpowered by the hard hitting American Sofia Kenin of the USA.
Raducanu was also forced to withdraw from this week's China Open in Beijing.
"Hello," Raducanu wrote on X. "Last week in Seoul I sprained some ligaments in my foot which unfortunately need some more time
to heal. It means I can't play in Beijing but I hope to be back competing as soon as I can."
