LONDON, England (lawntennismag.com)—At Wimbledon, round one begins at 7:00am CST USA with five time defending champion Roger Federer of Switzerland opening play on Centre Court as he looks to remain unbeaten on grass in his last 60 matches.

Federer won Wimbledon 2003-2007 and has been ranked world number one since February 2, 2004 for a record 230 consecutive weeks.

In ladies' play, 2002-2003 champion Serena Williams of the USA is first up on Court One. Both Federer and Williams should advance into round two with ease.

Roger Federer holds the record of consecutive wins on grass courts with 59 wins.

Federer is the superior grasscourter and should win in straight sets.

Williams has suffered some distractions and injuries which have prevented her from playing her best tennis oftentimes the last several years. She says she is healthy which is good news for tennis.

Lleyton Hewitt (AUS)[20] v. Robin Haase (NED)
2002 Wimbledon champion Hewitt still has the desire and game to win.

Frank Dancevic (CAN) v. David Nalbandian (ARG)[7]
Nalbandian is one of the most talented players on the tour and should not have any problems today.
